We want to keep going for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victims and survivors of domestic violence, but we can’t do it without funding

It was 25 November, the World day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The Morrison government decided the best way to honour that important day on the international calendar was to cut funding to the National Family Violence Prevention and Legal Services Forum, our national voice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women who are survivors of domestic violence. It represents 13 services across this country. It provides a shield, a force, for those who have neither.
