To watch Brazil play in the World Cup is to see Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, known simply as Neymar, writhe around on the ground a lot.
Thanks to a recent study, we now know exactly how much time he’s spent on the ground during the 2018 World Cup: a whopping 14 minutes.
The 26 year-old forward is known for his extreme acting skills, which he whips out every time he falls to the ground in an effort to gain a penalty kick or sympathy. It’s happened so often during this year’s games that kids have even jokingly appropriated the moves in their own soccer practices.
