Ukrainian airplane crashes in Iran, killing all 170 people on board

A passenger jet crashed shortly after take-off from Iran’s Imam Khomeini airport with at least 170 passengers and crew aboard, IRNA, Iran’s state news agency, said on Wednesday local time. According to IRNA, the plane gate-crashed due to technological difficulties with the aircraft engine. It added that there were no survivors. The airplane to have crashed is a Boeing 737 -8 00, is the previous generation of Boeing’s 737 family of airplanes. The present generation, the 737 Max, has been floored worldwide since March, 2019.
