RICHARD Madden stands as the current favourite to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond following the release of the upcoming Bond 25 in 2020.
The actor, who starred in BBC’s Bodyguard- and scooped up the honor for Best Drama Performance at the 2019 NTAs- definitely has the credentials to prove he’s the right person to take on the role. Here’s what we know so far…

Is Richard Madden the new James Bond?
Richard Madden and Tom Hiddleston are among a very long roll of contenders to supersede Daniel Craig.
However, Richard is now the favourite after receiving kudo from the film’s producer Barbara Broccoli.
Richard’s Bodyguard co-star Keeley Hawes has also shared her thinks on such matters, which may also help give him that extra push.
Keeley commented:” I said to Richard while we were shooting ,’ “Its like” James Bond! I would love to see Richard playing James Bond; I would love that. I think he would be phenomenal .”
Other actors still in the running are Tom Hiddleston( 5/2 ), Tom Hardy( 9/2) and Idris Elba( 6/1)
