The return of Kevin Spacey to the public eye continues on Monday, with news that he WILL plead not guilty in the sexual assault example he’s currently facing.
His solicitors already made this clear a few days ago, but this morning, it was confirmed when Spacey’s legal team officially filed doc that include a pronouncement from the actor about his plea.

Also of note in the docs: Spacey is adamant that he does NOT want to appear in a Massachusetts courtroom for arraignment over the charge.
In the brief, his lawyers had pointed out that the actor’s presence would” amplify the negative advertisement already generated in connection with the instance ,” and could contaminate the potential jury pool due to what would be a TON of media interest. Maybe so…
He likewise claims he lives out of state, FWIW, and getting to Massachusetts just for the arraignment would be difficult. Hmm … Not sure about that one.
Regardless, the docs were just filed today and a judge has yet to principle on any such requests. We’ll see what happens.
