With the Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Churchill Downs looming simply one week away, linkages across the country are preparing their competitors with final workouts, shipping projects and intersected fingers this weekend. A quartet of graded stakes highlights the North American racing action, and Australian supermare Winx will challenge for an another Cox Plate triumph on Saturday.

On Sunday, last year’s Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile win Battle of Midway will opt for a slightly softer smudge at Santa Anita in the $75,000 Comma to the Top Stakes.
