Young musicians get a chance
England manager Gareth Southgate has confirmed he will hand a chance to Joe Gomez.
England take on Spain in the Nations League, and Southgate is willing to take a chance on his young stars.
Gomez has been flawless for Liverpool this season, and has more than earned his England call-up.
Sky Sports contend Southgate said:” It’s probably quite clear Joe Gomez will be coming in for John[ Stones ].
” He’s in really good form for his club and his matches for us against Spain and Brazil have been really polished.
” He’s a young champion but he is a very good defender, good athleticism, uses the ball well. I’m looking forward to seeing him in this play. It’s another opportunity for us to look at younger players.
” We’re gradually constructing a crew of musicians who are comfy playing at the highest level .”
