Form is a worry
Harry Kane and England may have a problem.
That’s according to Stuart Pearce, who is of the view that the striker could suffer from burnout.
He was speaking on Sky Sports’ The Debate . Pearce was of the view that Kane struggled as the World Cup went on, and could be playing too many games.
” Yeah, I did in the summer, I’m realistic enough to know that winning the golden boot at a World Cup, that is special, induce no mistake about that.
” But I anticipate his concerts over the seven games were OK and the longer the tournament went on, the more his performances lessened in many ways.
” I don’t know if we need to get more help to him on the tone because he’s going to be England’s centre-forward for the next nonetheless many years because of the character he is, the person or persons he is there’s no doubt .”
Kane is happy
Kane himself seems happy this season.
The player of course managed to score in August.
That had many people joking he had transgressed the curse that has beset him for so long.
Even Kane got in on the joke, and now he seems to be ready to go for his country.
England issues
Kane is of course the primary guy for Spurs and England.
There ought to have fears expressed during his form, and if he doesn’t perform- what would happen to both his club and country.
Spurs will welcome Son back, but England are lacking world class alternatives up top.
It’s something Pearce added:” If he doesn’t score the goals and targets for England I would worry about where we’re going to go as a national team.
” I see it as two-fold with Harry. There’s a new-found respect for him and that entails defenders are on high alert, which will nullify him in some manner.
And secondly, when you play against Tottenham now, because people respect them as one of the big-hearted six. They protect a lot deeper and there’s less room. I don’t think that suits Dele Alli or Harry Kane .”
