US CONSUMERS ARE WARY OF RETAILERS’ MOVES INTO HEALTH INSURANCE: Retail giants like Amazon, Walmart, and CVS are on the verge of breaking into the health insurance market, but consumer interest in this proposition is tepid. US consumers overwhelmingly said they hold more trust in the current insurance market (69%) than in government run programs (19%) and potential new partnership models led by retailers (12%), according to a Health Edge survey shared with Business Insider Intelligence. That signals an uphill battle for Amazon, which has partnered with Berkshire Hathaway and JPMorgan Chase and is eyeing health insurance; Walmart, which is in talks to acquire Humana; and CVS, which is in the process of merging with Aetna.See the rest of the story at Business Insider
