Drake Addresses Blackface Image On Pusha T’s Diss Track Cover — But What About The Alleged Secret Child??

Drake has broken his silence about one detail from Pusha T‘s diss track, The Story Of Adidon.

As we reported, Pusha used a photo of a young Drake in blackface makeup for the cover image, which was taken by photographer David Leyes. In the song, Pusha also alleges that Drake has a secret child with reported porn star Sophie Brussaux, who in 2017 claimed Drizzy tried to get her to have an abortion.

On Wednesday, the 31-year-old rapper addressed the blackface cover shot, but not the rumors about his alleged child.

He wrote about the “circus” on his Instagram Story, saying:

“I know everyone is enjoying the circus but I want to clarify this image in question. This was not from a clothing brand shoot or my music career. This picture is from 2007, a time in my life where I was an actor and I was working on a project that was about young black actors struggling to get roles, being stereotyped and type cast. The photos represented how African Americans were once wrongfully portrayed in entertainment. Me and my best friend at the time Mazin Elsadig who is also an actor from Sudan were attempting to use our voice to bring awareness to the issues we dealt with all the time as black actors at auditions. This was to highlight and raise our frustrations with not always getting a fair chance in the industry and to make a point that the struggle for black actors had not changed much.”

That definitely provides some context to what could’ve been very controversial.

As for the baby… TMZ reports Drake has been financially supporting his alleged baby momma and kid — but that has not been confirmed by the Nice For What artist himself.

Stay tuned.
