Photos of the Moto G7 Play have shown up online in an FCC filing. Included spec knowledge supports most of the phone’s specs.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, we recognized two Motorola smartphones pass through the FCC<\/a> which we accepted were the Moto G7 and G7 Plus. Now, thanks to a filing on the FCC<\/a> website found by Droid-Life<\/a>, we have real-life photographs of the Moto G7 Play and detailed information on the handset’s internals.<\/p>\n

First, looking at the exterior of the phone, it shows as though Motorola will sell the handset in black and silvery blue-blooded colorways. We can also see that the Moto G7 Play’s design closely resembles the aesthetic that the company has used on its phones over the last several years.<\/p>\n

Around back, you will find the Moto G7 Play’s camera sensor( we are not sure this is right MP sizing ), LED burst, and a fingerprint sensor concealed under Motorola’s logo.<\/p>\n

Looking at the top of the phone’s presentation, you will find a notch that houses the front-facing selfie crap-shooter( again, there’s no MP information available to share just yet ), earpiece, and other sensors. It’s hard to see the sizing and shape of the Moto G7 Play’s notch in the FCC’s photos, but you can see it represented clearly in the image within the owner’s manual.<\/p>\n

What’s disappointing is the decreased battery size. The Moto G6 Play<\/a> came with a humongous 4,000 mAh battery while the FCC filing has pointed out that the Moto G7 Play will merely include a 2,820 mAh battery. Here’s hoping that Motorola changes this before it officially releases the phone.<\/p>\n

What you’ll probably be happy to read, though, is the fact that the Moto G7 Play will retain its headphone jack, microSD card slot, and is switching from a microUSB port to USB-C. Additionally, Motorola is moving away from the 400 -series Snapdragon processors and is going to ability the handset instead using a Snapdragon 632 CPU and Adreno 506 GPU. As Droid-Life points out, the radio and LTE bands supported by the Moto G7 Play point to the phone chiefly working on GSM carriers.
