With the Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Churchill Downs looming simply one week away, linkages across the country are preparing their competitors with final workouts, shipping projects and intersected fingers this weekend. A quartet of graded stakes highlights the North American racing action, and Australian supermare Winx will challenge for an another Cox Plate triumph on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Cox Plate will go off at approximately 2:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time in the United States, in which Winx faces simply seven other opponents.<\/p>\n

In North America, Saturday’s G2 Fayette at Keeneland aspects Bill Mott trainee Hofburg against morning-line favorite Prime Attraction, shipping in from California.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, last year’s Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile win Battle of Midway will opt for a slightly softer smudge at Santa Anita in the $75,000 Comma to the Top Stakes.<\/p>\n
