While I greatly enjoyed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rockpapershotgun.com\/game\/doom\/\">Id Software&#8217;s 2016 reboot of the series<\/a>, I didn&#8217;t love it. After watching three good chunks of footage live from QuakeCon, I&#8217;m feeling a lot more positive about its sequel, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rockpapershotgun.com\/game\/doom-eternal\">Doom Eternal<\/a>. Green-haired zombies, spiky imps, semi-abstract urban-demonic hybrid environments, an underslung grappling hook and a bunch of new ideas were on display.
